Get Ready for a New Year of Golf

For those of us in the Northen parts of North America the golf season is just around the corner. It's time to get your golf clubs out and dust off your shoes. It's nearly tee time!

I can't wait to golf this year. I'm itching to get back on the green.

For those of you who are new to the game, the beginning of the season is a terrific time to get out there and learn. Everyone's in such a good mood that you'll likely get plenty of help from strangers, and club owners alike. Plus, the sooner you get out there the sooner you'll learn. And before you know it, by mid to end of season you'll be a pro!

Just remember take it slow. BUT - most vet golfers hate slow players! So I do recommend going during times when your course isn't very busy. This way you're able to take your time and you wont feel the added pressure of the regulars breathing down your back. To avoid such situations it's always best to start at 'starter' courses where the golfers who attend already know that you may be a beginner. Or, what I've also found is that if you golf during happy hour, most people could care less whether you're slow or not. They just want to take their time with a few cold beers as they golf.
